- E. COLI IS FOUND IN THE LARGE INTESTINE OF HUMANS AND OTHER WARM BLOODED ANIMALS AND IS COMMON IN WATER, MILK AND SOIL; E. COLI STRAINS MAY SOMETIMES CAUSE SEPTICAEMIA AS WELL AS DIARRHOEAL DISEASES, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN.
