- MEASURE OF THE RATE AT WHICH RADIO FREQUENCY ENERGY IS ABSORBED BY THE BODY WHEN EXPOSED TO RADIO-FREQUENCY ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD. THE MOST COMMON USE IS IN RELATION TO MOBILE PHONES.
