- THE ANTI-APARTHEID MOVEMENT (AAM) (FORMERLY THE BOYCOTT MOVEMENT) WAS FOUNDED IN BRITAIN, IN 1960. THE AAM CAMPAIGNED IN BRITAIN AND INTERNATIONALLY FOR AN END TO APARTHEID IN SOUTH AFRICA, UNTIL THE FIRST DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS WERE HELD IN SOUTH AFRICA IN 1994.
